June in Phoenix

Arrived

Flew in to Phoenix airport on Sat 9th June 2012 at 17:10 and had the usual hour wait in customs with Honey the beagle. Eventually cleared customs and baggage to be greeted by my beautiful Kimby. After a long kiss we headed outside to get a taxi and was greeted by my first experience of 110 Deg F desert air.We quickly found a taxi and took a crazy ride to the Clarendon Hotel which became home for the week.

Sunday was spent re-aquaining our selves with each other and watching a movie at Harkins at the Arizona centre.

Grand Canyon

Road Trip Video Monday was a great day at the Grand Canyon. The day started early with kimberly’s brother Adam collecting us from the Hotel and driving us to her Uncle’s house in Prescot. There we swapped to his convertable and headed to the Canyon via a Denny’s for breakfast. The temperature was a pleasant 85 deg when we arrived at the Grand Canyon. We spent the next few hours taking photos and enjoying the view from several spots along the south rim.

We headed back and reached Prescot just after dark so we headed to  Cracker Barrel for dinner before heading back to Phoenix.

Photographs

Tuesday was photos day. After lunch we got ready to meet the Photographer – Rosie Dean – at the Rose & Crown English pub. We took approx 300 photos in the Heritage Square area before heading to the George & Dragon pub for food and more drinks.

Mill Avenue

Wednesday we went to meet the tattoo artist, Nicole, to agree the designs for our tattoos We agreed upon infinity symbols with our names. Then we headed off to Mill Avenue to window shop, have a few drinks and eat. Wednesday night was back to the George & Dragon to meet Clarissa and more drinks.

Rings and Tattoos

Thusday was spent buying rings at Paradise Valley Mall and getting tattoos at Urban Art Tatoo in Tempe. We went to the same store in Paradise valley to purchase the rings as we used for Kimberlys Engagement ring. We quickly managed to select three options for a wedding ring and finally agreed on a complementary pair of rings for the bride and a band for the groom, all in white gold. Then off to ‘5 & Diner’ for a quick lunch before heading to Tempe.

Arrived at Urban Art Tattoo at 3:30 as planned and had our tattoos done before heading back to Phoenix.

Wrigley Mansion

Friday evening will be dinner at Wrigley Mansion with Brian & Clarissa after a day of wedding arrangements etc.
